Practical seminar for managers
Everyone faces aspects of crisis on a global, corporate or private level. It can be uncertainty about the future, worries about health, finances, as well as other factors. All this consumes our resources and affects productivity.
How to cope with these challenges? And how to help others – colleagues and employees?
In this seminar, we will talk about how a manager can help himself and how to support and set an example for his team during a crisis and change.
Objectives
To increase awareness of the impact of a crisis, prolonged stress on physical, intellectual, emotional and social well-being;
to provide specific recommendations, and practical methods on how to improve and maintain one's well-being (both physical and psychological) in conditions of increased stress, and crisis;
to inspire participants to implement new practices that provide an immediate positive effect on well-being and, when practiced in the long term, increase psychological well-being, resilience to stress, and productivity.
Working method
Active and engaging form of work. The lesson includes discussions and situation analysis, the theoretical part is supplemented with examples and practical exercises, including breathing techniques.
Program
1. Crisis, stress, burnout - how it affects us. Physiological basis, consequences in everyday behavior, well-being, productivity.
2. Behavior in a crisis - "survival algorithm".
3. Self-help - methods and practices for restoring resources and improving well-being, based on the regularities of body physiology (autonomic nervous system, hormonal system) and psychology:
work with breathing;
relaxation techniques;
stress response;
hardening;
nutrition;
sleep;
changing thinking patterns;
emotion management.
4. Implementation in practice. How to create and maintain new, healthy habits.
5. Intensive body reboot techniques and challenges in implementing these habits.
6. The role of a leader in times of crisis and change:
the importance of communication in a crisis – what message a leader should give to his team;
the role of a leader as a support and example (integrating words, examples, one's own experience, and knowledge into the daily routine of employees at the individual/team level).
